Attapulgite is a crystalline magnesium silicate with a unique chain structure that is responsible for its useful colloidal and sorptive properties.
Attapulgite has a wide variety of industrial applications. The Colloidal grades are thickening,gelling,stabilizing and thixotropic agents with applications from drilling muds to paints to pharmaceuticals. Sorptive grades are usde for decolorizing,clarifying, as herbicide carriers and refining aids as well as floor absorbents and cat litter.
